ROCK ON.

 

Oopsy my posts have been lacking, apologies. This weekend was spent acting tour guide for my boyfriend’s parents and what trip isn’t complete without a visit to the Giant’s Causeway.
I started off the day dressed to impress in my cute new Olive dress. But, as weather prevailed, this was short lived as I began to add more and more layers and my hair began to get more and more wind swept. (I will be sure to do a proper post of the new dress soon!)

I also added this lovely audio guide necklace to my outfit, provided by the lovely people at the visitor’s center; lucky it tied in well with the outfit eh?
This it spent more time talking to the air than me listening. I did however learn that there are 40,000 columns to be seen. I didn’t however count them all to see if this fact is indeed true.

As my boyfriend put it "Once you've seen one rock, you've seen them all."

Well, I’m off to Spain now on Friday, LOTS of posts to be had of summer clothes that we just haven’t had the weather for here.
Anyone else any nice trips or travels to share? Or ideas for my visit to Majorca?

HIYA MANCHESTER

Last week we spent an amazing few days in Manchester, granted we came home extremely tired but definitely worth it.

The sun was shinning, the cocktails were flowing and a lot of money spent shopping.
I also tried out HD brows at Harvey Nichols Urban Retreat. Highly recommend. Anyone else tried it?

One of my favourite places to loose a few hours is Afflecks (shown in first 4 snaps) An emporium maze filled with random trinkets, clothes and food. Here we picked up some cute jewellery from the many shops inside. One in particular caught my eye with lots of necklaces hanging from the ceiling. I lifted a flyer to give it a mention but I only went and lost it. So if anyone recognises it, let me know.

Saturday night was spent celebrating Nicci’s birthday, ‘Happy birthday doll’ Cakes with pirate skulls, Moustaches and indie/brit pop at The Deaf Institue. Manchester even got a moon from the hotel window!
Hopefully in the next few posts I will show what everyone was wearing!

Sorry for the delay in posts, after a hectic weekend in Manchester I have finally recovered!

Now where were we, ah yes.

I actually got these trousers nearer the start of summer and never got round to post them. After spotting similar styles from Jil Sander and Stella McCartney catwalk shows, I fancied myself a pair of daywear PJ's.

I have always felt more comfortable sporting a smock dress, midi or my trusty skinny Topshop Leighs . Between those, I don’t wear much else so I thought I was due a change.

What I like about the trousers is although they are printed, it’s quite subtle with a tribal feel. I always team them with my sandals and a statement necklace but hopefully coming into the cooler days I’ll try them with an oversized jumper and brogues. The best bit, they are super comfy and EVEN better still, they have now went into sale.

STUD MUFFIN.

For those who have been with us from the start, you may remember this pretty face. For those who haven’t (where have you been?) this is Nicci, hi nicci.

As luck would have it, my chums love fashion as much as me and we all have completely different style. Nicci is my go to girl if I need the following.

A)   Graphic tee.

B)   An abundance of jewellery. (She’s like a magpie)

C)   Something grungy.

She loves to layer and makes no exceptions for summer. Here she has on a dress, jumper and a jacket, never forgetting her jewellery. Pay close attention to her nannies wedding ring, soooo cute.

I guess we are kind of opposites trying to merge. Nicci loves a grungy look, adding more girlieness, where as I live in my girlie dresses but try not to look like I’m 12!

I hope the more I post you will get a feel for our different styles. Then there’s something for everyone.
